Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency. $47,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually $2000 Sign on bonus $47,000-60,000 for Bachelors $50,000-65,000 for Masters NY State PE Certified strongly preferred
Position Summary:
Physical Education teachers deliver direct instruction in their assigned curriculum areas, aligned with New York State Learning Standards and tailored to the individual strengths and challenges of each student. In their classrooms, teachers create a highly structured, safe, and therapeutic environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, giving each student the opportunity to achieve success.Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a positive relationship with students and colleagues Create and implement PE lesson plans in accordance with New York State Learning Standards. Ensure the instructional and physical education needs of each individual student are met in accordance with the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Accommodation Plan Create necessary planning documents as prescribed by specific program guidelines based upon formal and informal assessment of students' strengths and challenges Complete required reports and documentation on time Attend all required training and developmentRequirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree requiredExperience:
