Physical Education Teacher — Preschool through Elementary Are you an energetic, flexible educator who loves helping children move, grow, and discover what they are capable of doing? Our Montessori school is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to work with students from preschool through elementary. We are looking for someone who can make movement joyful, help children develop confidence and healthy habits, and create an environment where every child can participate and succeed. Our PE program is about more than sports. Through movement, games, fitness, and physical challenges, students learn coordination, teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, independence, and respect for others. This is also a unique school-wide position. When you aren't teaching PE, you'll be an important part of our instructional support team—helping in classrooms, providing coverage when teachers are absent, supervising students, and stepping in wherever an extra set of capable hands is needed. What You'll Do Teach engaging physical education classes for preschool through elementary students. Develop age-appropriate lessons focusing on movement, coordination, fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits. Create an inclusive environment where children with different abilities and comfort levels can experience success. Maintain safe routines and organize PE equipment and materials. Provide classroom coverage when teachers are absent. Assist Montessori teachers and students in classrooms when your PE schedule allows. Help with recess, transitions, special events, field trips, and other school activities. Collaborate with teachers and administrators as part of a close-knit school community. Who We're Looking For We'd love to meet someone who is: Energetic, positive, dependable, and great with children. Comfortable working with children ranging from preschool through elementary age. Flexible and willing to shift gears when the needs of the school day change. Able to lead a group while maintaining a calm, respectful environment. Collaborative and willing to be part of the larger life of the school. Interested in Montessori education and supporting children's independence and development. A bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Child Development, or a related area is preferred. Previous teaching, coaching, youth programming, or physical education experience is also preferred. Montessori experience is a plus, but we welcome candidates who are new to Montessori and excited to learn.
