Job Description

A position has opened for a Preschool Director located in Madison Alabama in an established sought after Preschool program.
Position:
Preschool Director Work hours are 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Qualifications Meet minimum requirements of "Director" according to state regulations. Minimum associate degree in early childhood education Current in First Aid and CPR for infants and children 2 years of experience minimum supervising childcare staff Responsibilities Reports to Church Preschool Committee and attend weekly Church Staff Meetings Familiar with state regulations and maintaining preschool in compliance with state regulations. Oversee Preschool program budget and expenses. Develop, plan, and implement, with staff, a preschool program for children's age from 18 months - 5 years old, that is developmentally appropriate and helps foster children's physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. Hire, supervise, guide, and train staff for their ongoing professional development. Ensure staff understand state regulations and Preschool program policies. Perform annual staff reviews. Oversee Specials programs (Art, Music, Movement, Chapel, etc.) and coordinates activities/events with teachers responsible for these areas. Provide preschool tours for prospective parents. Coordinate field trips, special guests, programs, and events. Manage all aspects of student enrollment. Plan, execute, and maintain logs of periodic emergency drills. Keep families informed of upcoming preschool activities and events. Build relationships with families (at drop-off/pick-up times, via phone calls, etc.) Arrange for community outreach; execute marketing strategies throughout the year. Attend at least 20 hours of continuing education, seminars/workshops each school year, 1/3 of which should be in diverse learning. EMAIL resume to office@mmchurch.org.
