Full Job Description Center Director:
Mathnasium of North Fresno Mathnasium of North Fresno is seeking a motivated, organized, and results-driven Center Director to lead the day-to-day operations and growth of our learning center. A primary focus of this role is lead conversion, enrollment growth, and local outreach/marketing . The Center Director will be responsible for responding to and following up with prospective families, conducting enrollment conversations, converting leads into enrolled students, building relationships within the local community, and identifying opportunities to increase center awareness and enrollment. In addition to driving center growth, this is an on-site leadership position responsible for managing the overall student, parent, employee, and customer experience. The Center Director will lead and develop staff, oversee student assessments and learning plans, maintain strong parent relationships, and ensure the center operates efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Lead Conversion, Enrollment Growth & Local Outreach Respond to prospective families by phone, email, and in person Follow up consistently with leads and move prospective families through the enrollment process Conduct enrollment conversations and clearly explain the value of the Mathnasium program Convert qualified leads into enrolled students Conduct assessments and consultations with prospective families Take ownership of enrollment growth, lead conversion, and student retention Build relationships with local schools, teachers, families, and community organizations Identify and participate in local outreach and marketing opportunities Support referral programs, community events, school partnerships, and other initiatives designed to generate leads Help maintain a strong local presence and increase awareness of Mathnasium of North Fresno Center Operations & Student Success Manage day-to-day center operations and ensure the center runs efficiently and professionally Manage customer billing, payments, invoices, and related account questions Maintain accurate customer payment records and follow up on outstanding balances as needed Administer student assessments, identify learning gaps, and develop customized Mathnasium Learning Plans Monitor student progress and ensure students receive high-quality instruction Create, update, and maintain student learning materials and binders Oversee center opening and closing responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional center environment Monitor center performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and enrollment Maintain accurate records and utilize Mathnasium center-management systems Parent & Customer Relationships Monitor and respond promptly to center emails, phone calls, and messages through the center text messaging app during scheduled work hours Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, goals, attendance, and concerns Conduct parent consultations and progress discussions Build and maintain strong relationships with students and families Provide professional, responsive customer service and address parent questions or concerns Support customer satisfaction and student retention Staff Leadership & Scheduling Provide leadership, coaching, training, and support to instructors and other team members Create and manage employee schedules based on student appointments and center needs Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and developing employees Provide direction, feedback, and accountability to team members Help foster a professional, collaborative, and student-focused work environment Qualifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Reliable, responsible, and able to follow through independently Experience managing employees and providing direction and feedback Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills Experienced in speaking with parents and prospective families Experience with sales, enrollment conversations, and lead follow-up Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to manage customer billing, payments, invoices, and account follow-up with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience using computers, email, scheduling systems, and other technology Strong math competency and willingness to learn Mathnasium assessment and instructional processes Genuine interest in helping children succeed academically Preferred Experience Previous experience as a Mathnasium Center Director or Assistant Center Director strongly preferred Previous management, supervisory, or leadership experience Experience in education, tutoring, learning centers, youth programs, or a related environment Customer service, sales, enrollment, or business-development experience Experience training, scheduling, or coaching employees

Approximately 28-35 hours per week
Work Location:
In person at Mathnasium of North Fresno Regular availability is needed Monday through Saturday, primarily during afternoon/evening center hours on weekdays and morning/early afternoon hours on Saturdays Some work hours occur before student instruction begins to allow for assessments, administrative duties, parent communication, staff management, and center preparation End times may vary based on center needs and completion of daily responsibilities What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who will take genuine ownership of the Center rather than simply oversee a shift. The ideal Center Director is proactive, organized, accountable, experienced in making decisions, and able to build positive relationships with students, parents, employees, and prospective families. You should enjoy leading a team, helping students succeed, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the growth and success of the center. Training will be provided on Mathnasium systems, processes, curriculum, assessments, and the Mathnasium Method.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 - 35.0 per week
