Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership to the preschool team, including teachers, administrative staff, and support personnel, ensuring a cohesive and motivated work environment. Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that promote holistic childhood development and align with best practices in early education. Manage all aspects of school administration, including budgeting, resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with local and national regulations related to early childhood education. Lead strategic planning initiatives to grow the program's reach, enhance educational quality, and foster community partnerships through effective fundraising efforts. Oversee personnel management tasks such as hiring, performance evaluations, professional development facilitation, and supervising staff to ensure high standards of instruction and care. Ensure adherence to legal requirements including special education law, childhood development standards, and educational regulations governing early childhood programs. Facilitate ongoing faculty evaluation processes and instructional leadership to support continuous improvement in teaching practices. Promote a positive school culture through active communication with families, public speaking engagements, and community involvement. Requirements Proven experience in school administrative leadership within early childhood or K-12 settings; prior school experience is essential. Strong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and classroom management tailored for young children. Demonstrated success in managing budgets as an education administrator along with strategic planning and fundraising capabilities. Extensive knowledge of educational compliance laws including special education law and childhood development regulations. Excellent management skills with experience supervising school staff and facilitating professional development initiatives. Ability to communicate effectively through public speaking and foster collaborative relationships with staff, families, and community partners. Familiarity with school legal frameworks, personnel management in education settings, and managing educational programs aligned with regulatory standards. Pay:
$62,400.00 - $70,000.00 per year Application Question(s): Have you been a preschool director previously? Due to state licensing regulations, we are only able to hire someone who is qualified to be a director in California. Do you meet the minimum requirements to be the director in a preschool? Are you available between the hours of 6am and 6pm? What are your preferred hours? Do you hold a California site supervisor permit? (This is not a requirement. We are happy to assist you through the process) Do you have experience and are you comfortable working within Title 22 ratios? Are you comfortable working in a classroom, when needed?
