What they do
A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description

- Improve accountability through coaching, consistency, and clear expectations.
- Identify practical opportunities to improve systems rather than relying on repeated reminders.
- Become a trusted operational partner to the Owner and Clinical Director.
- Lead day-to-day operational activities throughout the center
- Support employee accountability for attendance, professionalism, communication, and performance
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation
- Assist with staffing and scheduling workflows
- Maintain organized, welcoming, and safe learning environments
- Oversee supplies, purchasing, inventory, and facilities
- Support HR documentation and policy implementation
- Prepare for accreditation and quality improvement activities
- Communicate professionally with employees, families, and community partners
- Collaborate closely with clinical leadership Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coach others while maintaining accountability
- Problem-solving mindset
- Experience in operations, healthcare, education, early childhood, or practice management preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Benefits
