Position Summary:

Orchard View Early Elementary Child Care is seeking a responsible, organized, and energetic Site Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our school-age child care program serving students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. The Site Administrator will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where young students can learn, play, build friendships, and develop independence. This position will oversee daily site operations and staff, organize age-appropriate activities and crafts, communicate with families and school staff, and ensure the program operates in accordance with Michigan Child Care Licensing regulations and Orchard View Schools policies. Schedule The position is Monday through Friday and consists of a split shift from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. On early release days the afternoon shift is 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, have current CPR/First Aid training, and meet one of the following qualification pathways: Option A At least 6 months of experience working in a child care setting; AND At least 6 semester hours, 9 CEUs, or 90 clock hours of coursework/training in one or more of the following: Child care administration, Early childhood education, Child development, Youth development, or Another child-related field. Employment at a child care center participating in Great Start to Quality. Option B At least 3 months of experience working in a child care setting; AND One of the following: Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Montessori credential, Michigan Youth Development Associate (MYDA) certificate/credential, or Associate degree in a child-related field. Employment at a child care center participating in Great Start to Quality. Option C Associate degree or higher in any field; AND At least 15 clock hours of school-age child care training.
