A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Preschool Center Director to join the leadership team at their premier preschool in Socorro, NM. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Full-Time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment Salary $27.75 to $28.50/hour pending education, certifications, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits Sick Leave Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Retirement Plan Child-Enrollment Discount Continuing Education Assistance Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Professional Development Assistance Responsibilities Oversee all operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, relationship building, quality assurance related to health & safety, and faculty onboarding, training & development Use a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the school for the future Develop strong relationships with families Comply with state childcare licensing regulations Project a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment Willingness to serve in various roles as needed Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records Qualifications
REQUIRED
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
REQUIRED
Experience:
Experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility
