Job Description

The Site Director has the responsibility of ensuring effective and efficient operation of one or two childcare sites. The Site Director is responsible for managing and facilitating Before & Afterschool Enrichment and/or Early Learning programs at designated YMCA program sites. This responsibility includes creating and implementing lesson plans, maintaining site records, and additional programs responsibilities to ensure state licensure compliance and overall effective program management. This position is expected to be actively in childcare program up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
  • Must have education and/or certification to meet OCCRRA requirements for CPL 3 (OCCRRA)
  • Certification in CPR at the level of Basic Life Support or Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration and associated-determined safety training required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years working in a
SCHOOL AGE/PRESCHOOL
child care setting.
  • Minimum 1-year experience supervising and managing staff.
  • Previous experience WORKING with diverse populations preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience working with Microsoft office products.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with all ODJFS licensing procedures and Step Up to Quality requirements preferred. Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to administer the program, fiscal, and personnel policies of the association, a person in this position must possess the insights and skills of modern management (ex. Continuous Improvement) to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team approach to solving challenging situations.
  • Excellent time management, customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle high volume of work
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite with excellent Excel skills, experience with comparable payroll/HRIS system preference for ADP, Kronos, or Ceridian
  • Willingness and ability to be a mandated reporter for any signs or suspicion of child abuse and neglect.
All employees are required to follow the child abuse and neglect reporting process: completion of Suspected Child Abuse/Neglect reporting form, calling children protective services (696-Kids) and notifying your immediate supervisor, branch executive, risk management and human resources department (s)
