ASAP QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years old. Applicants must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, have or obtain upon employment current First Aid, CPR, Food Handler certification, and obtain a Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect training certificate within 30 days of employment. At least two year of college or university classes with a major in HDFS, child development, elementary education, teaching, special or physical education or teaching, recreation, sports, early childhood education or a related field is preferred. One year of experience working with school age children in an organized and on-going group setting (i.e. classroom, kindergarten, teaching, childcare, recreation program or comparable setting) will be considered. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. To be considered for a site manager position, the candidate must have verifiable experience supervising adults in a work setting. Must be available to work the posted hours each week.

$19.00

• $21.00 per hour range. The Site Director works at the STARS after school program from approximately 2:00
• 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12:00

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Site Director manages the STARS after school program as well as the Fun In The Sun Summer Day Camp, programs. The Site Director manages staff and provides direct supervision of school age children in both programs.

SITE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Site Director is responsible for managing the school age childcare programs. Establish & maintain positive relationships with coworkers, community partners, school staff, parents, and children. Plan and implement age appropriate activities. The Site Director manages staff schedules. Provide supervision and safety of children in all activities and on fieldtrips. Communicates with parents/guardians regarding behavioral issues, concerns, etc. Schedules enrichment activities with community partners. Responsible for ensuring staff stay up to date on required trainings and certifications. Help in the organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of all program materials and facilities. Attend all staff meetings and trainings.
