A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:
21 years old High School Diploma or GED at least 1 year of child care experience MiRegistry Courses Leadership Skills School age experience Licensed Childcare experience When you join our team as a Site Director you will: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of site teachers including managing schedules, timecards, training, development, and performance. Model and guide teachers to deliver daily curriculum to enhance students school day learning experience Ensure your site is operating effectively; maintain licensing, safety, family billing, subsidy, manage operational costs, and supervise children maintaining ratio standards. Grow business by expanding enrollment and foster client advocacy Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school and district clients, state subsidy agencies and licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners
Required Skills and Experience:
At least one year of teaching experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, families, and staff Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively Meet state specific guidelines for the role Ability to work a flexible schedule that adjusts based on program needs. Be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Be able to assume postures in low levels to interact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity.
