Learning Leadership Academy is seeking a compassionate, organized, and visionary Daycare Director to lead our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Position Summary The Daycare Director oversees daily operations of the childcare center, ensures compliance with all state and local regulations, supports staff development, maintains strong family communication, and upholds the academy's mission of excellence in early learning. This role requires strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and a deep commitment to high-quality childcare. Key Responsibilities Provide daily leadership and oversight for all classrooms, teachers, and support staff Ensure compliance with DSS regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies Manage enrollment, parent communication, tours, and family relations Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and enrichment activities Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; foster a positive team culture Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation Oversee budgeting, purchasing, scheduling, and operational planning Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children Build strong partnerships with families and the community Lead emergency preparedness, safety drills, and facility maintenance coordination Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred, but not required) South Carolina childcare credentials or ability to obtain required certifications Minimum 2-3 years of childcare leadership or administrative experience Strong understanding of DSS licensing requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lead with professionalism, empathy, and a child-centered mindset
