Role:

Central Texas Children's Academy in Killeen, TX is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners by creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum aligned with early childhood development standards Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for children Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides Monitor and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates to parents and guardians Build positive relationships with families through regular communication and parent engagement Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood curriculum Strong classroom management and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff Must meet Texas childcare licensing background check and health requirements CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
