A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

The Director's purpose is to be the leader of Noah's Ark Early Learning Academy. They should consistently uphold and promote our mission statement to the children, staff, families, and community. They are accountable for the daily operations of the center, educational programming, finances and bookkeeping, safety of the facility, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations, and building strong relationships with families and the community.
Key Responsibilities Staff Management:
Hires employees, supervises performance, leads the team to ensure high-quality care. Assists with employee evaluations, professional development, and any terminations.
Program and Curriculum Development:
Ensures the program is implementing an age appropriate and meaningful curriculum.
Compliance/ State Programs and Renewals:
Ensures the facility meets all state and local licensing requirements and safety regulations. Ensures the program is meeting requirements for any grants or programs we are enrolled in and submits renewals and needed paperwork in a timely manner.
Parent Communication:
Overseescommunication with parents, addresses concerns, and updates parents with changes to policies and procedures.
Facility Management:
Oversees the daily operations of the center, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety procedures.
Record Keeping:
Oversees all child and staff records and ensures accuracy.
Finances and Bookkeeping:
Maintains annual and monthly budget, manages day-to-day financial operations, billing, and payroll. Maintains accurate books, reconciles accounts, and generates timely financial reports to support leadership in making strategic business decisions. Creating a

Board Meetings and Reports :

Educational Background:
At least 18 years old 2 years post secondary school in Early Childhood Education, Business Management or comparable Desired but not required: A valid ECE certificate
Experience:
2 years prior experience in a childcare or educational setting, ministry or religious context. At least 6 months experience in administration, leading and managing teams, whether staff or volunteers Experience in creating and implementing age-appropriate curriculum Experience billing, bookkeeping, and managing finances
