JOB SUMMARY
: This non-exempt position will provide coordination of services to infants and families enrolled in the Infant Learning Program (ILP). It will also provide assessment, intervention techniques, strategies and service coordination to assist in fostering the growth and development of children with special needs from birth to three years of age in a home-based service program. This program will provide family service coordination to enrolled families. This position will adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedures Manual and the State and Federal Rules and Regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SEED Level 9:
- Serve as the developmental therapist during intake, eligibility determination, and throughout the enrollment process.
- Conduct developmental evaluations, assessments, and family assessments in alignment with professional discipline and Infant Learning Program (ILP) standards.
- Write comprehensive developmental evaluation reports and determine eligibility for Part C Early Intervention Services .
- Provide home-based, specialized instruction within the child and family's natural environment , embedding learning into daily routines and family-identified priorities.
- Coordinate and participate in Child Outcome Summary (COS) ratings to ensure accurate documentation of developmental progress.
- Develop, revise, review, and renew Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) , including: o Present levels of development o Family assessments o Outcomes, goals, and strategies o Transition planning, service determination, and signature collection
- Provide individualized coaching and intervention to eligible children and families based on the therapist's specific field of practice.
- Facilitate transitions out of the Infant Learning Program (ILP), ensuring continuity of care and family support during the transition process.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families to ensure services are coordinated and outcomes are family-directed.
- Conduct specialized community presentations to promote awareness of ILP services and encourage program enrollment .
- Document all services and communications in compliance with state IOP and FCS policies, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Participate in professional development, supervision, and team meetings to maintain program quality and personal skill growth.
- Be able to perform all duties of a SEED Level 8 or 9 to ensure adequate backup coverage and program continuity when needed.
- Provide quality assurance monitoring of files and services quarterly to ensure adherence with accreditation standards and continuous improvement of program quality. SEED Level 10:
- In addition to the duties above, may supervise or mentor Developmental Associates and Developmental Therapists and may serve as the ILP Coordinator as assigned.
- Complete all grant-required documents quarterly and annually , ensuring compliance with grant expectations, reporting timelines, and documentation standards.
- Provide programmatic oversight and ensure that ILP practices reflect compliance and best practice standards , including child count verification and monthly technical assistance (TA) visits .

Developmental Therapist I Required Degree:
Bachelor's degree in a related field without certification or licensure.

Part C Credential - Developmental Therapist A training plan must be developed with the supervisor and approved by State TA staff within three (3) months of hire. Developmental Therapist Credential online modules must be completed within the first three (3) months of employment. Training and competency checklist must be completed and submitted to State TA staff within two (2) years .
