Duties Follow a well-defined, science inspired program. Facilitate engaging lessons that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth tailored to preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment as defined by the Connextions Method. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting observations related to child welfare and development. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and safety for all children. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required; classroom experience with 3-5 year olds is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and classroom management practices. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures used in early childhood education to assess developmental progress. Valid certification in first aid and CPR is required (cerfication will be provided if not already certified); additional credentials in special education or childhood development are advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration are essential. Previous experience teaching in private schools or daycare environments will be considered a plus for this role. Our goal is not simply to prepare children for kindergarten.
