Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and learning. Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's social skills and emotional regulation. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities. Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum activities aligned with developmental milestones. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks. Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental progress. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Ability to create a safe, engaging environment that fosters learning through play. Patience, compassion, adaptability, and a genuine love for working with children. Relevant experience such as babysitting, nannying, or caregiving is beneficial.
