Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Afternoon Toddler Teacher, working from 2 PM to 6 PM. In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children aged 2 to 6 years old. Your enthusiasm and expertise will foster early childhood development, support individual needs, and promote positive learning experiences. Responsibilities Supervise and care for toddlers during afternoon hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities aligned with early childhood education standards Document observations of children's development to inform individualized care plans and assessments Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities and compassionate caregiving This role is ideal for dedicated individuals eager to inspire young minds during their formative years.
