Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, focusing on toddler development milestones. Lead daily classroom activities that promote cognitive, motor, language, and social skills through play-based learning. Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and sanitation practices. Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating updates to parents and team members. Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques to foster respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregiver staff, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional strategies. Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or additional caregiving support. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a childcare settings, specifically with toddlers or infants. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable. Excellent classroom management skills coupled with the ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive environment. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while maintaining professionalism. Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required; a genuine passion for working with children is essential.
