The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's individual needs to promote a positive educational experience. Experience with early childhood education, classroom management, and child welfare is essential to ensure the highest quality of care and instruction. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and structured lessons tailored to various developmental stages such as toddlers and preschoolers. Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate; adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Support social-emotional development by managing behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare or special needs. Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special education needs or developmental delays. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with educational standards. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood education, including literacy education, tutoring techniques, and classroom management. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required; experience with toddlers is highly desirable. Experience developing curriculum content across multiple domains such as math, literacy, physical education, and special education is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment. Experience working in private schools or daycare centers will be considered an asset.
