Duties Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement. Assist lead teachers with classroom management and implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development. Support infants and toddlers with diapering, feeding, and comforting needs, following best practices for infant care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and classroom materials regularly. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting them appropriately. Assist in planning and executing developmental activities that promote social skills, motor skills, and early learning concepts. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices is essential. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset. Certification in first aid and CPR (Child Pediatric First Aid) is required or must be obtained upon hire. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and toddler care routines enhances your effectiveness in this role. Previous babysitting or teaching experience with young children demonstrates your ability to connect with kids of various ages. Understanding of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements for child safety.
