Job Description:
We are looking to employ a qualified Lead Teacher, who has a passion for instilling values in young children in our Early Head Start program. The Infant/Toddler Teacher should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of babies and toddlers with different personalities and needs. As a minimum requirement, an AA or BA degree from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development and at least one year of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. Applicant must meet state licensing requirements. Must complete all trainings required by child care licensing, including but not limited to the following: a.
Ongoing Training:
Staff must participate in annual training on child safety, mandated reporting, and emergency procedures (Title 22, §101216.2). b.
Mandated Reporting:
All employees are mandated reporters of suspected child abuse or neglect (Title 22, §101212(d))
