Overview of the Role One Love Montessori School is seeking a warm, dedicated, and engaging Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing, safe, and inspiring classroom environment for young learners. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood development, values hands-on learning, and is committed to supporting each child's academic, social, and emotional growth. The Preschool Teacher will guide children through meaningful daily experiences, foster independence and curiosity, and partner closely with families and colleagues to help each student thrive. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead a classroom Plan developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Implement classroom routines and behavior guidance strategies that promote independence, respect, and self-confidence Observe and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating growth areas and milestones with families and school leadership Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and team members to support a collaborative school community Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment aligned with licensing and safety standards Supervise children at all times, including during classroom instruction, meals, outdoor play, and transitions Support individualized learning needs and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental levels Participate in staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development opportunities Ensure compliance with all school policies, health regulations, and background clearance requirements

Required Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units with transcripts, or 1-3 years of preschool classroom experience working with young children Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices Ability to create a caring, safe, and engaging classroom environment Background clearance required upon offer Ability to work full-time and in person Preferred Skills AA or BA in Child Development or Child Psychology Montessori Credential preferred (training offered) Child Development Permit preferred Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, dependable, flexible and organized Creative and collaborative approach to teaching Ability to communicate well with families and colleagues Passion for fostering independence, confidence, and love of learning in young children About One Love Montessori School One Love Montessori School is a child-centered learning community dedicated to nurturing curiosity, independence, and respect in every student.
