Our After-School Lead Teachers should be confident working with students between the ages of 5-12 years. While this program is not a tutoring driven curriculum, lesson plans are executed weekly and the knowledge of age appropriate activities is required. Candidates must also be comfortable working with others, and communicating with parents when appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Early Childhood Education Units (minimum of 12) OR Completion of AA Degree Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans Experience in a licensed childcare facility a plus Clean background check and medical clearance Reliable transportation The ideal candidate will have: Desire to support early childhood social, emotional and cognitive development Belief that play can be cognitively-rich Demonstrated success working in a high-performing school setting Exceptional organization and planning skills Superior communication skills Committed to collaborating and working as part of a co-teaching team Able to communicate effectively with parents, teachers and School Director This position requires the applicant to be available the same hours, Monday thru Friday, For example, if the hours are 7am-1pm, the applicant must be able to work those hours Monday-Friday, as we cannot make accommodations for school or other work schedules.
