Duties Develop and implement comprehensive age-appropriate curricula that incorporate early intervention strategies, literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles. Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool experience, and special education needs. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and fostering positive behavior management techniques. Plan engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs while aligning with standardized testing requirements and early childhood education standards. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to promote effective classroom management and professional growth. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development through observation and documentation to inform instruction and support early intervention when necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, teaching physical education, and implementing Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
