Job Summary Seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join the Rainbow Daycare Family. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the center by providing attentive care and engaging activities for infants (0-2). This is a flexible part-time position that would be perfect for a student or new graduate! Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children during play, meals, naps, and activities, maintaining vigilant child supervision at all times Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and child development instruction to promote learning and social skills Support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene in accordance with health standards Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns to foster strong relationships Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly to ensure health and safety standards are met Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any signs of neglect or abuse according to legal requirements Participate in ongoing training on first aid, CPR, special education needs, and childhood development to enhance your caregiving skills Qualifications Updated CPR & Pediatric First Aid Certification Required Live Scan Fingerprinting Clearance Required Vaccination Records Required Mandated Reporter Training Required Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Ability to manage infant behavior through positive reinforcement Passion for working with infants and supporting their growth through engaging activities and attentive care
