This position is perfect for someone who loves working with young children and has a passion for dance, movement, and creating a positive first experience with ballet. Our toddler ballet classes focus on introducing young dancers to basic ballet movements, coordination, rhythm, creativity, and confidence in a fun and encouraging environment. We're looking for a teacher who can keep little ones engaged, smiling, moving, and excited to come back each week! Duties Teach fun, beginner-friendly ballet classes for toddlers and young children. Introduce basic ballet positions, movements, stretching, rhythm, and coordination. Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate music, movement, imagination, and creative play. Maintain a positive, safe, organized, and encouraging classroom environment. Use positive reinforcement and age-appropriate classroom management techniques. Help students build confidence, coordination, balance, listening skills, and a love for dance. Prepare students for occasional performances or recitals. Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers. Work with La Verne Music School's front desk and management team to provide a great experience for our families. Experience & Qualifications Ballet, dance, or similar movement experience required. Previous experience teaching ballet or dance is preferred. Experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, or young children is strongly preferred. Must be friendly, patient, energetic, dependable, and comfortable leading groups of young children. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to make classes fun and engaging while still providing structure. Early childhood education, preschool, childcare, theater, gymnastics, or similar experience is a plus. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Must be interested in a consistent, ongoing part-time position.
