Full Job Description Key Responsibilities :
Child Development & Instruction :
As a teacher, you assist with planning, implementing, and assessing developmentally appropriate activities to promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development different ages.
Classroom Management :
As a teacher, you will work with your teammates to maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and growth.
Individualized Care :
As a teacher, you will work with your co-teachers to provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their unique needs are met in a respectful and compassionate manner.
Parent Communication :
Build positive relationships with parents, providing updates on child development and classroom activities using Brightwheel.
Collaboration :
As a teacher, you will work closely with other teachers and staff to create a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Compliance :
Ensure adherence to state regulations, company policies, and best practices related to health, safety, and child development.
Documentation :
Keep accurate records on children's progress, including assessments, reports, and daily activities.
Qualifications :
Education :
Must have 6-12 college credits in Early Childhood Education Courses or strong interest in starting immediately while working.
Skills & Abilities :
Having knowledge of child development principles and practices. Ability to work with all ages. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to the well-being and development of young children. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
Certifications :
First Aid and CPR Certification (or the ability to obtain within a specified time frame). Must pass a background check as required by California state law.
Mandated Report Certification Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
