7:30 - 4:00 M-F.

Education:

12 Early Childhood Education units (Child Growth & Development and Child, Family, Community, Curriculum or Child Guidance and Principles and Practices) Minimum requirement.

Other requirements:

fingerprint clearance, health screening, immunization records of Pertussis/MMR, TB clearance, and U.S. citizen, or show eligibility to work in the U.S. Willingness to accept and support the teachings of Lutheran Church of the Cross Preschool (mission, educational philosophy, curriculum, policies, and standards). Full-Time Preschool Teacher AVCS Preschool is looking for a loving, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are a faith-based preschool that provides a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, create, and grow in their faith. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. Our program incorporates a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach , hands-on learning, creativity, exploration, and academic foundations.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Create a warm, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Plan and implement age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day Communicate professionally and positively with parents and families Work collaboratively with teachers and administration Maintain an organized and clean classroom Complete classroom documentation and child observations Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements Be dependable, flexible, patient, and a positive team member Early Childhood Education units and experience working in a licensed preschool setting preferred Must meet California Community Care Licensing requirements for the position We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a supportive school community and who will bring kindness, patience, creativity, and a love for children to the classroom each day.
