We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Preschool / School-Age Teacher (Driver) to join our team at our Lakeside (Woodside) location . Position Summary The Preschool / School-Age Teacher (Driver) is responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum, creating engaging learning experiences, maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom environment, and supporting children's educational and social-emotional development. This position also requires the transportation of preschool and school-age children to and from schools and other approved locations. The ideal candidate has strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to ensuring children's safety both in the classroom and during transportation. This position reports directly to the Center Director or Assistant Director. Responsibilities Teacher Responsibilities Implement the company-selected curriculum and create engaging learning experiences for preschool and school-age children. Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with classroom themes and developmental goals. Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and inventory according to company standards and licensing requirements. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and company policies. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, development, and daily activities. Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively. Work closely with fellow teachers and leadership team members to support program success. Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and interactions. Transportation Responsibilities Safely transport preschool and school-age children to and from schools, field trips, and approved program activities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle at all times. Follow all company transportation policies, traffic laws, and child passenger safety requirements. Ensure accurate attendance and accountability of children during transportation activities. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures. Maintain a valid California Driver's License and remain insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy. Effectively supervise children during loading, unloading, and transportation to ensure their safety at all times. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age . Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units , including: Child Development Child, FamilyCommunity One additional Child Development course (such as ProgramCurriculum, Child HealthSafety, etc.) One Elective Child Development course Valid California Driver's License. Clean driving record. Must meet company driving and insurance requirements. Comfortable transporting preschool and school-age children and following all transportation safety procedures. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool Teacher, School-Age Teacher, or Early Childhood Educator preferred. Ability to pass DSS background clearance. Current Mandated Reporter Certification. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification. Comfortable learning new technology and software applications. Adaptable and willing to work as part of a team-focused environment. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities with children. Ability to safely enter, exit, and supervise children during transportation activities. Availability to attend occasional staff meetings and work overtime when needed. Apply Today!
