Role:
Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in shaping the earliest developmental milestones of our youngest learners in a warm, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities for infants in alignment with early childhood education standards Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing to meet each infant's individual needs Observe and document infant growth, milestones, and daily activities for parent communication and developmental tracking Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that supports sensory and cognitive development Build trusting relationships with families through consistent, open communication and daily updates Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides within the infant room Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety protocols
Requirements:
Minimum 15 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required; infant/toddler units needed Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting Strong knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for infant care Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with parents and staff
