Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:15 a.m.-6:15 p.m.
Pay:
$25.00-$27.00 per hour

Bonus opportunities Pacific Coast Montessori Academy is seeking a full-time Assistant Director to join our leadership team! We are looking for an experienced early childhood professional who is organized, dependable, confident working with staff and families, and ready to take an active role in the day-to-day operations of our preschool. Schedule Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Must be available to work 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. approximately twice per month Key Responsibilities Build positive relationships with families and assist with parent questions and concerns Maintain child, staff, licensing, and administrative records Help ensure compliance with California Title 22 licensing requirements Monitor classroom ratios, supervision, health, and safety Conduct school tours and support enrollment and retention efforts when the Director is unavailable Assist with timekeeping, ordering, and other administrative duties Support classrooms as needed Assist the Director with daily school operations and take the lead when the Director is unavailable Qualifications Minimum 15 ECE units, including required administration units Infant/Toddler units required; we are willing to sponsor these courses for the right candidate Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting Previous leadership, Lead Teacher, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Director experience strongly preferred Knowledge of California Title 22 licensing requirements Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365 required Procare experience preferred Montessori experience or certification is a plus AA or BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company contributions Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays based on eligibility Generous employee childcare discount Opportunities for performance-based bonuses If you are a warm, dependable early childhood professional with strong leadership skills who is ready to grow with our school, we would love to hear from you!

Do you have your ECE Admin Units? Do you have your Infant/Toddler Units? If not, are you willing to complete employer-sponsored Infant/Toddler coursework? Are you currently fingerprinted/cleared through LiveScan/Guardian? How many years of experience do you have working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting? How many years of preschool leadership experience do you have as an Assistant Director, Director, Site Supervisor, Lead Teacher, or similar position? Do you have experience with California Title 22 licensing requirements and maintaining licensing records? Which of the following areas do you have experience with? Staff supervision, staff scheduling, parent communication, licensing/compliance, school tours and enrollment, Procare or similar childcare management software, and/or other relevant school administrative experience. Are you proficient with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel? Are you available to work Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., including approximately two opening shifts per month from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or as needed when the Director is out?
