Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This position involves working closely with infants, toddlers, and children with diverse needs, ensuring their well-being and supporting their developmental milestones. Responsibilities Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the daycare setting. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and managing classroom activities. Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring safety standards are met. Provide individual attention to children as needed, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Help manage behavior through positive reinforcement strategies. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Experience The ideal candidate will have experience or skills in the following areas: Classroom management within a daycare or educational setting. Infant care, including feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques. Toddler care that fosters independence and social skills. Babysitting or nannying experience that demonstrates responsibility and care for children. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to support children's emotional development. Experience working with students in an educational context is a plus.
