Position Available:
Lead Preschool Co-Teacher The Lead Preschool Co-Teacher will create and implement a nurturing and engaging learning environment for a class of approximately 16 students alongside existing Lead Preschool Co-Teacher. This role focuses on curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessing student progress, while fostering strong communication with parents through daily conversations and semi-annual meetings. The Lead Teacher ensures classroom safety and behavior guidance in alignment with child development best practices and school philosophy. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess and monitor student progress and development
  • Create and update individual written student goal reports
  • Manage classroom environment and maintain safety standards
  • Communicate regularly with parents during daily exchanges and scheduled meetings
  • Guide and support positive behavior and social skill development
  • Lead the classroom team in delivering effective instruction
  • Ensure compliance with child development principles and regulations Required Qualifications
  • Title 22 Licensing Requirements requires at least 16 units of ECE associated classes
  • Proficient in early childhood development, lesson planning, and classroom management
  • Skilled in goal report writing for student progress
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Experience with early childhood behavior management and conflict resolution
  • CPR and First Aid Certification Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in early childhood education
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Position Details:
  • 35-40 hours/week (5 days: Monday-Friday)
  • $26-$29/hour based on education/experience
  • Option to Participate in CalSavers Retirement Program
  • Option to Participate in ICHRA Health Benefit Reimbursement Account
  • Paid time off: In addition to Vacation and Sick time, 11 Federal Holidays plus additional school days off (Wednesday before Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Winter Break, 1 week at Spring Break)
  • Non-paid time off: July (school is closed)
Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour
