Duties Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth and positive behavior management strategies. Use child development principles to tailor activities suitable for toddlers and preschool-aged children, including those with special needs or requiring early intervention services. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining classroom safety protocols, and providing first aid and CPR when necessary. Manage classroom routines efficiently to foster independence, responsibility, and engagement among students. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, and implementing best practices in early childhood education. Experience Prior experience working directly with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and early intervention techniques. Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and behavioral management strategies. Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to create an organized learning environment. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support student welfare and educational success. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or childhood development are a plus. Previous experience working in private schools or daycare centers is advantageous but not mandatory.
