Job Description
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our team! Do you enjoy working with young children and are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment? Our next team member is ready to help our 2 year olds learn, grow, and develop. Responsibilities Collaborate with the lead teacher and classroom team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Work closely with the teacher to develop and maintain consistent behavioral management strategies that promote positive behavior and social-emotional development. Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment. Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day. Support daily classroom routines, including meals, nap/rest, outdoor play, potty training and transitions. Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop appropriate behaviors, independence, and problem-solving skills. Communicate with the teacher regarding children's individual needs, behaviors, progress, and development. Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom. Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to ensure consistency in classroom routines and expectations. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and families as directed by the lead teacher or center administration. Follow all licensing, health, safety, and center policies. Qualifications Minimum 12 ECE units required. Experience working with children ages 2-4 preferred. Ability to change diapers and support positive potty training techniques. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patient, dependable, caring, and enthusiastic personality. Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team. Must meet all applicable state licensing and childcare employment requirements. Montessori or Reggio experience a plus!
