Floater Salary negotiable based on experience. Are you passionate about early childhood education and creating meaningful learning experiences for young children? Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and experienced Floater to join our team. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of experience in a preschool environment Experience with Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia teaching methods 12 Core Early Childhood Education units Minimum Requirements Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units , including: Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, Principles and Practices (or Program & Principles), Curriculum Previous preschool teaching or floating experience Fingerprint clearance through Community Care Licensing (or ability to obtain) Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Genuine passion for working with young children Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children and families Excellent verbal communication skills Professional, dependable, and self-motivated Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
As our While School Floater, you will: Assist lead teachers in various classrooms as needed Support daily classroom activities and routines Supervise and engage with children during work period, playtime, meals, and nap times Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Assist with setting up and cleaning up learning materials and toys Provide individual or small group attention to children as directed Communicate effectively with staff and parents when necessary Follow center policies and procedures at all times Adapt quickly to changing needs across different classrooms The ideal candidate is: Warm, patient, and nurturing Passionate about early childhood education Organized and dependable A collaborative team player An effective communicator Committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and joyful learning environment
