Job Description

Headliner Music Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Early Childhood Music Teacher to lead music classes for young children. Our early childhood classes are designed to introduce children to the joy of music through singing, movement, rhythm, instruments, musical games, stories, and creative play. We're looking for someone who brings warmth, energy, and creativity to the classroom and knows how to keep young children engaged while creating a positive first experience with music. This position is a great fit for a patient, expressive, and energetic educator or musician who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is comfortable bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and imagination into the classroom.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead engaging early childhood music classes for toddlers, preschoolers, and young children Prepare for and deliver classes using Headliner Music Academy's curriculum, lesson plans, and activities Introduce foundational music concepts through singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, games, and creative activities Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where children feel comfortable participating and exploring Encourage participation and build children's confidence through positive reinforcement Communicate warmly and professionally with parents and caregivers Guide parents and caregivers in participating in classes when applicable Participate in academy events and performances as needed
Requirements:
Background in the arts (theater, art, music, etc...) and/or experience working with young children in an educational, musical, performing arts, childcare, or similar environment Comfortable leading and engaging groups of young children Energetic, expressive, patient, and encouraging personality Ability to communicate musical concepts in a fun, simple, and developmentally appropriate way Comfortable singing independently and leading children in songs Ability to play a musical instrument such as (piano/keyboard or guitar) preferred Comfortable incorporating movement, storytelling, games, and imaginative play into lessons Strong classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills Ability to interact effectively and professionally with both children and adults Reliable and comfortable working in an active, energetic classroom environment Ability to pass a background check Why Join Headliner?
