Our child-centered, play-based curriculum fosters an environment where children can explore, question, and develop self-discipline through engaging, open-ended experiences. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant preschool community. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development. Your enthusiasm for working with young children will help foster their curiosity and growth while ensuring a safe and joyful classroom experience. Assist lead teachers in implementing child-centered, play-based activities aligned with developmental goals Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through attentive caregiving and guidance Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration Engage with children during activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytime, and group projects Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic childcare needs for infants and toddlers when applicable Collaborate with team members to observe children's progress and communicate any concerns to lead teachers Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Ability to manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining patience and enthusiasm Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for early learners Passion for nurturing children's growth through playful learning experiences Join us at Pacific Oaks Preschool to make a meaningful impact on young lives by supporting their natural curiosity and love of learning!
