In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes early childhood growth and learning. We have two locations : A preschool that serves children 18 months- 5 years old. Licensed to 20 children in a mixed age classroom.

Location :

Bernal Heights. Our school follows the Project and play based approach with emphasis of Reggio Emilia and documentation process and extensive outdoor play. And a small family daycare for infants under 2 years old. Serving 4 infants / toddlers with two teaching team.

Responsibilities Foster a safe, inclusive, clean and stimulating classroom environment tailored to the needs of infants and toddlers. Engage children in activities that promote physical development, social skills, and emotional regulation through play-based learning. Manage classroom routines effectively, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and behavioral management strategies. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development and literacy education Collaborate with the teaching team and families to communicate progress, address individual needs, and support child welfare initiatives. Maintain detailed documentation of each child's developmental milestones, progress reports, and standardized testing results when applicable. Requirements Minimum of 12-24 ECE units . AA or BA in Early childhood education preferred.. Early childhood education students are encouraged to apply Prior experience working with toddlers in a childcare or daycare. Knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behaviour management strategies. Experience with curriculum development & age appropriate activities for children from 18 months to 5 years old. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields.

Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 36.0 per week
