Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Provide high-quality childcare and classroom management to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive conduct and emotional regulation among children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's development. Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays, ensuring individualized support. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Conduct classroom assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices. Experience managing classroom behavior and implementing effective classroom management strategies. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in child welfare or behavior management are a plus. Previous experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners is advantageous.
