3007319882-2 Apply for this job now Job Description KinderCare is seeking a Lead Teacher for Blue Hills Elementary to create a safe, engaging classroom where young children thrive. In this role, you will design and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans, support social-emotional development, and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will observe and assess child progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with school staff to align with educational standards. Lead Teachers also mentor assistant staff, ensure compliance with safety and licensing regulations, and contribute to center-wide initiatives that promote continuous learning and growth. Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Observe, document, and assess children's developmental progress Communicate regularly with families about child growth and classroom activities Collaborate with school and Kinder Care staff to align educational goals Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides Ensure compliance with safety, health, and licensing regulations Manage classroom routines, behavior expectations, and transitions Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and styles Participate in professional development and center-wide initiatives Required Skills Curriculum planning for early childhood/elementary students Classroom management Child development assessment and documentation Knowledge of early learning standards Family and caregiver communication Lesson planning and instructional design Behavior guidance and positive redirection Record keeping and compliance with licensing rules Collaboration with school staff and administration Basic technology skills for reporting and communication
