Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher for a private Catholic School to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques Support child development instruction by observing, assessing, and documenting each child's progress in various developmental domains Engage children in activities tailored for toddlers and preschoolers, including early intervention strategies when necessary Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards to maintain a safe learning environment Incorporate special education practices when working with children who have unique learning needs or require additional support Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the classroom at all times Conduct standardized testing or assessments as needed to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom techniques, and early childhood education best practices Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting with classroom experience preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration Ability to develop engaging age appropriate curriculum content across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety Experience teaching or tutoring young children is advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering an inclusive classroom environment Experience working with special education needs or implementing individualized support plans is a plus Flexibility, patience, enthusiasm for early childhood education, and a commitment to nurturing young learners Join us in shaping the future by providing children with a joyful start to their educational journey!
