Our Staff and Directors are dedicated to providing the highest quality, safe and nurturing educational environment where children can thrive and grow. We cherish children, support families, build community among diversity and pursue excellence in early education. This position is an "on-call" basis only position. Hours and daily work schedule will be dependent upon overall center and individual classroom need. The Substitute Teacher can be called each day for requested hours to work, or may be scheduled in advance by the Directors. The Substitute Teacher is not eligible for benefits.
Job Description:
Assisting in set up and implementation of planned activities by teacher and will follow staff directions in relationship to health & safety and all other classroom issues. Creates a warm, responsive and respectful environment for children and adults, responsible for learning positive approaches to discipline and other issues as trained by Directors and staff. Responsible for supporting, learning and utilizing the aspects of our program: Is responsible for learning (during orientation and training) and following through on the health & safety as well as adult-child interaction policies Responsible to participate in the maintenance of classroom storage areas and materials in a neat and orderly manner. Classroom ratio is 1:12 so subs will work as solo teachers to children ages 2 years through Kindergarten
