Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Montessori Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Montessori education, with a passion for nurturing and guiding children from infancy to 5 years of age. This role involves creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment, implementing Montessori principles, and fostering the overall development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Design and implement age-appropriate Montessori lessons and activities that support the development of each child. Create and maintain an engaging and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Child Development:
Observe and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support to meet their unique needs and interests. Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that aligns with Montessori principles. Guide children in developing independence, self-discipline, and respect for themselves and others.
Parent Communication:
Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development. Conduct parent-teacher conferences and participate in school events and meetings.
Professional Development:
Stay current with the latest research and developments in Montessori education and early childhood development. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Montessori Certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE accredited) for infants to 5 years of age. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Montessori setting. Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Skills:
CPR and First Aid certification. Bilingual in English and [Other Language] is a plus. Experience with classroom management and parent communication tools.
