We provide a nurturing, homelike environment focused on socio-emotional development for children from birth to 13 years old, emphasizing early childhood education and child welfare. Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool School Age Teacher and Driver to join our team. This role involves engaging with children through educational activities, supporting their developmental needs, and ensuring safe transportation to and from school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, experienced in classroom management, and comfortable driving children within the local area. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool and school-aged children, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Manage classroom activities to foster a positive learning environment that promotes child development instruction and behavior management. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities to build strong partnerships. Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to mandated reporting laws, practicing first aid and CPR when necessary, and maintaining a secure classroom environment. Safely transport children to and from school, following all safety protocols and local traffic laws. Assist children with homework, tutoring, and early intervention strategies to support their academic growth. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, lesson plans, assessments, and incident reports. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving children within the local area. Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, standardized testing, and literacy education is a plus. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality.
