Position We are seeking A dedicated and passionate early childhood teacher to join our team of educators working with children ages 2 to 6 years and Infants and Toddlers. A Teacher who teaches our preschool class (3-5 years old) daily. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a deep understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and nature-based education.

• Lifelong learners Required Qualifications 1.

Possess 16 units or A.A. degree in Child Development/ECE 2. Eligible to possess a valid Teacher Permit 3. At least 4 years of teaching children ages 2-5 years of age in a preschool setting 4. TB Clearance, record of flu shots, and immunization record as stipulated by Title 22 5. CPR and First Aid for

Infants/Toddlers/Adults Preferred:

• Possess a B.A/B.S in a related field (Child Development, Psychology, Education, Family Studies) and 12 or more units in ECE
• At least 2 years teaching children ages 2-5 years of age in a preschool setting
• Significant knowledge and experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Foster a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
• Incorporate environmental education into daily activities and outdoor experiences.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean classroom and outdoor learning spaces.
• Represent the school at open houses and social gatherings
• Plan and facilitate an emergent curriculum according to each child
• Collaborate with Co-worker to create a weekly Plan of Possibilities for your classroom
• Create provocations intended for the indoor and outdoor classroom
• Adapt the classroom to the cultural needs of the children incorporating the one hundred languages
• Design and supervise a peaceful atmosphere for children to nap
• Establish a healthy and safe indoor and outdoor environment by following School policies and procedures
• Assist with the general hygiene of the children including but not limited to; toilet training, diaper changing, washing hands, brushing teeth, cleaning mud or sand off children, and helping with other activities that may require contact with bodily fluids.
• Assist children by creating a pleasant atmosphere when serving morning and afternoon snack and at lunch time
• Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all children; according to Title 22 Regulations, including but not limited to; helping children stay warm and dry in poor weather, managing risk in an outdoor setting, and addressing conflict resolution
• Document each child's growth and development continuously
• Create ongoing documentation, take pictures and post daily on google drive for creating panels about children's learning
• Participate in all meetings for parents and staff
• Follow all school Policies and Procedures outline in the Staff Handbook
• Maintain Child Development Teacher Permit
• Participate in professional development
• Other duties as assigned by the Owner/CEO and or the Site Supervisor
