Our toddler classroom serves children approximately 12 months and walking through 2½ years old. In this essential role, you will create a safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes curiosity, independence, social-emotional growth and foundational learning skills. Your knowledge of early childhood development and commitment to providing nurturing, responsive care will help establish a strong foundation for each child's continued growth and learning. Mt. Zion Lutheran Preschool is a small, relationship-centered Christian preschool with a collaborative team committed to excellence in early childhood education. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support toddler development, including language, early literacy, sensory exploration, motor skills and social-emotional learning. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence and positive interactions. Establish consistent classroom routines and use positive, developmentally appropriate behavior-guidance strategies. Provide direct care and active supervision during playtime, meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, rest time and daily transitions. Observe and document children's developmental progress, individual needs and important milestones. Communicate regularly and professionally with parents or guardians regarding their child's experiences, development and needs. Maintain accurate attendance, developmental and classroom records in compliance with Colorado licensing requirements. Use Brightwheel to document meals, diapers, classroom activities and other required information. Maintain a clean, safe, organized and welcoming classroom. Follow all mandated-reporting requirements, First Aid procedures, health guidelines and school safety policies. Collaborate with colleagues to plan learning experiences, support individual needs and provide consistency throughout the school day. Support Mt. Zion's Christian learning environment through kindness, prayer and age-appropriate Jesus Time.
