Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a caring and dependable Preschool Assistant Teacher to help support our Lead Teacher and the children in our 2.5-4-year-old classroom. You will help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and become more independent. We are willing to help you work toward becoming fully qualified for the position. Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Supervise and engage with children through play, activities, and learning opportunities.
  • Help with meals, nap time, outdoor time, cleaning, and transitions.
  • Assist children with potty training and bathroom routines.
  • Help children build independence and age-appropriate social and emotional skills.
  • Help prepare children for their transition into the next classroom, Pre-Kindergarten.
  • Communicate with the Lead Teacher about children's needs, progress, and any concerns.
  • Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and running smoothly.
  • Communicate with parents daily about their child's progress. Qualifications We are willing to help you get qualified for the position. To start, you will only need to complete:
  • Background check
  • Fingerprinting
  • Required PDIS trainings Previous experience working with children is helpful but not required.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, caring, and willing to learn. This is an assistant position, so your main role will be to support the Lead Teacher and work together to provide the best care and learning experience for the children.
Pay:
$15.50 - $16.00 per hour
