Educational Services Manager Position Summary At TLC Learning Center, the Substitute Teacher provides classroom coverage for children ages two through five in an Early Childhood setting. This is an on-call position requiring reliable, flexible availability throughout our operating hours of 7:30 a.m

The Substitute Teacher helps maintain a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, following established lesson plans and routines while supporting children's developmental, social, and emotional growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide classroom coverage and instruction according to established lesson plans. Implement daily routines including meals, rest, diapering and outdoor play. Create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters curiosity, exploration, and learning. Supervise children to always ensure their safety and well-being. Communicate effectively with staff, teachers, and families as needed. Document attendance and classroom observations as required. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies. Adapt quickly to varying age groups, classroom settings, and teaching styles. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting. Knowledge of child development and early learning best practices. Basic computer and technology proficiency, including the ability to use email, complete online training, and navigate web-based systems for communication and documentation. Ability to obtain or maintain a Colorado Professional Early Childhood Credential Ability to successfully complete an FBI background check, fingerprinting, and required physical examination within 30 days of employment, in accordance with CDEC licensing requirements. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments, age groups, and teaching styles. Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting. Bilingual skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move children and classroom materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Ability to sit on the floor, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and move freely throughout the classroom and playground. Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to the physical and emotional needs of children. Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively with children and adults. Ability to sanitize and maintain classroom surfaces and materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay based on experience and Colorado PDIS Level. On-call scheduling; hours may vary depending on program and business needs.
